Meanwhile, at the Chattanooga Expo
I crashed the party at the Chattanooga Convention and Trade Center today, résumés in hand, hoping to make a career love connection.
Strangely enough, there were stormtroopers.
I met some terrific folks at the Chattanooga Expo, including reps from Moss Media Labs, H2B Creative Advertising and Public Relations, Woople, CMC Publications, Nooga.com, Brewer Media, Full Media, The Austin Hatcher Foundation, Chattanooga Business Machines, Sustainable Future Solar Panels, Zycron, and many more.
The Star Wars characters were from the Mos Nooga Squad out of Chickamauga, Ga., a squad of the Midsouth Garrison of the 501st.
Thanks to my friend Dena Jackson for introducing me to some of her contacts and generally making me look good. She’s been a great help during my job search, and I appreciate her very much!
It was a down week before this trip, as I got rejections from a video game company in San Francisco and a new magazine starting in Birmingham. But things are looking up. This trip to Chattanooga was well worth my time. I’ve come to love the Chattanooga community and want to someday call it home.
